Our mission is to open doors of hope for women and children fleeing domestic abuse. Through the provision of emergency shelter, counselling, education, and advocacy, we strive to empower abuse survivors to make positive life changes. We also offer a 24 hour crisis line and referrals to medical, legal, and social service agencies.

A shelter for girls and women aged 14-22 who are either runaways, prostitutes or in danger of becoming prostitutes. Provides a 24-hour emergency shelter; specializes in education, employment and personal counselling.

A national non-profit association representing all Inuit women in Canada and dealing with subjects such as women's rights, land rights and health issues. Its mandate is to foster a greater awareness of the needs of Inuit women, and to encourage their participation in community, regional and national concerns in relation to social, cultural and economic development.

Access to information on more than 1,700 resources in Peel Region, including health & social services, information & referral, libraries, community groups and government offices.

Helps refugees and immigrants who have settled in PEI by offering settlement services, giving support and assistance to immigrant students, matching newcomers with local volunteers, and providing employment services to new arrivals. They also educate the public about the benefits of immigration and the situation of refugees around the world.

The object is to involve competent volunteer citizens (advocates) in an individual commitment to advocate for one persons labeled (protege) who has unmet needs, and to speak and act in behalf of the protege to help them meet their needs and secure their rights. P.E.I. C.A. offers support and assistance to protege-advocate pairs, while assuring them independance and autonomy in the development of their relationship.

Support to at risk and homeless youth to help them move to healthier and safer lives. The focus is on breaking the cycle of homelessness by offering a wide range of programs and services to youth in the community. The organization’s mission includes being a meaningful presence and a voice for social justice in the lives of the youth it serves.

A community-based, multi-service centre working in partnership with individuals, families and communities, especially those at risk, to achieve their full potential, providing support for the homeless, immigrants, and others; offering ESL classes, parent support, outreach, multiple adult and child services, teen drop-in, community development, health promotion services, and counselling.

Provides a transitional home for Aboriginal men who want a safe place to help them heal from the effects of alcohol and drug abuse through integration of Aboriginal spirituality with contemporary clinical approaches.
