To respond to complaints and community concerns; to develop a strategy to either act directly or refer to the appropriate internal and/or external agency; to address concerns through partnership and consultation with Councillors, City and Regional departments, community agencies, tenants, landlords, neighbours, community associations, and other organizations such as the Rooming House Landlords Association (RHLA); to monitor and reassess each situation as necessary, and to continue involvement until the problem is fully resolved.

Dedicated to promoting alternatives to life on the streets for Winnipeg's Aboriginal children and youth, the drop-in offers social, recreational and educational programs designed in reponse to participants' needs and interests. Rossbrook House serves 5,000 young people each year, most of whom are Aboriginal.

Our mission is to look for better ways to improve the delivery of services to better meet the needs of the homeless and mentally ill populations.

To improve the physical condition and personal care in privately operated boarding houses and to facilitate the transition to a rooming house (independent living) over a two-year period.

Provides emergency shelter and support to women, men, youth and families in a supportive environment, as well as sharing information about community resources.

Provides managment of housing for families and senior citizens. The corporation responds to unique and new housing needs, as identified by the community. Housing is available on a rental basis.

The aim of First Steps is to provide a supportive transitional housing facility for homeless pregnant youth and their infants. First Steps strives to ensure that homeless pregnant young women will have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby; and through partnering with existing community services will assist these young women in moving from homelessness to self-sufficiency and a better quality of life.

Overnight accommodation is provided to transient men, and clothing is provided for in-house clients. A life skills program and counselling are also available. Meals are served three times a day for all persons in need.

A shelter for battered women, victims of sexual assault, and refugee women (16 years of age and older).

Provides free emergency meal service, drop-in lunches, staple supplies and referrals.
