Offers support, shelter and advocacy to women and their children who have experienced abuse. Women and children can stay for up to 30 days, free of charge. Kaushee's Place is a large, wheelchair- accessible facility with nine bedrooms, a common kitchen, living room and children's playroom. Experienced staff are available 24-hours a day, by phone or in person. Kaushee's Place also has five self-contained rental units that are part of the Second Stage Housing Program for women and children who are in need of secure housing for a period of up to six months. We offer a 24-hour crisis line, a drop-in/outreach service, a childcare worker who specializes in working with kids and moms who have experienced abuse, as well as a new Silent and Invisible program specifically designed to assist older women who are seeking safety from abusive situations. A community donation room is open 2 days per week to women and children.
