Uses Asset Mapping (individual and community) as a tool to create opportunity structures for homeless people so that they may improve their economic situations. Activities include job development, locating transitional employment placements, and locating other community assets within organizations and institutions.

Provides free emergency accommodations for homeless men aged 16 years and over.

An Ontario non-profit housing complex governed under the Tenant Protection Act. It offers affordable and accessible housing and support for individuals and families, and life skills counselling for referred clients.

We believe our clients have the right to choose their own lifestyles, and do not attempt to rehabilitate. Rather, we present healthy alternatives, allowing seniors to improve their quality of life at their own initiative, and help make their lives happier, safer, and more secure

Helps young runaways on the streets to return home.

Provides a free workshop for low-income, street-involved and homeless artists; provides art supplies, mutual support and a safe place to work.

Provides supportive housing to homeless residents of shelters seeking permanent and semi-independent living accommodation.

Provides warm, safe emergency accomodation for up to 14 individuals to sleep overnight.

Provide health care services to men and women who are chronically homeless and unable to use regular services due to lifestyle or complex health needs. Four main health services are provided to chronically homeless individuals in Ottawa’s downtown core:

(1) Case Coordination and Ambulatory Care;

(2) Palliative Care;

(3) Management of Alcohol Program;

(4) Infirmary for care and recovery from physical illness or injury.

Our volunteers bridge the gap between the poorest of the downtown poor, and the surrounding community. Our services include street outreach, a drop-in centre, life skills training and counselling.
