The HOME Program has been developed to meet the need in the community in assisting moderate income individuals and families in becoming home owners. This program encompasses education, referrals, one-on-one counselling, downpayment assistance, matching with housing product and housing professionals and ongoing support. The counselling and follow-up are essential elements of the program in ensuring the families/individuals have the resources, support and advocacy in the process toward home ownership.

Currently operates a men’s emergency shelter (Herb Jamieson Centre), a residence for at-risk women with or without children (Women’s Centre), a youth outreach centre (R.W. Tegler Youth Sports Centre), an activity and hot meal program to low income area elementary schools (Kids In Action), and a summer camp for underprivileged youth and children (Brightwood Ranch).

Provides safe, affordable housing to psychiatric survivors with a history of some continuous psychiatric treatment, and also homeless singles and families marginalized by poverty, with minimal connection to mental health or social service agencies. Also linked to social support services and skills training.

Enhances security of tenure, affordability and quality of rental housing in Toronto by supporting and/or delivering community services that provide information, advice and support to key stakeholders in the rental housing market.
