The Community Centre offers: a community kitchen 5 days a week, harm reduction, addiction information and education, a seniors program, a legal advice clinic, a community choir, music and arts program and an annual scholarship for low income students.

All-A-Board Youth Ventures Inc. is a private, non-profit charitable organization that creates small businesses to employ youth in a year-on-the-job training experience.

A coalition of community stakeholders committed to working collaboratively to eliminate homelessness by gaining a better understanding of homelessness and developing and implementing strategies to end it. Goals: 1. To promote more affordable housing; 2. To include homeless people in the work of the Alliance; 3. To increase public awareness and understanding through education for different audiences; 4. To support, monitor, and advocate for research on the causes of homelessness and effective interventions; To promote and support the most effective intervention and prevention strategies; 6. To identify, monitor and respond to system-wide changes that have an impact on homelessness; 7. To achieve greater recognition from municipal and provincial bodies; 8. To strengthen relationships with similar local and national groups.

The Alpha Centre in partnership with the CCSOTAS offers front line solutions to homelessness, affordable housing, clothing, food, education,employment and spiritual needs. The Centre was established following a collaboration of efforts and over 25 years of ground work in Cumberland County. This is a model project offering solid solutions to one of Canada's long standing social problems.

Provides residential and support services for at-risk youth and their families, with the goal of reintegrating youth back into their communities and (where appropriate) their families.

Alternative Youth Centre for Employment (AYCE) can help an individual find a job, get training, or upgrade their skills. AYCE has a great resource centre, employment counsellors, workshops, and more.

Alternatives for Youth promotes the well being for its community by supporting youth in need. AY recognizes that treatment for youth must consider their cognitive, emotional and social development and be aware of the impact that alcohol and drugs has on the normal transition to adulthood. The philosophy of AY is that treatment must be customized to meet individual needs and respect client choice.

A temporary shelter for women with or without children who are experiencing abuse in their intimate relationships. We also provide support, food and emergency clothing, advocacy (legal, medical, financial), counselling, and group and individual support.

A multi-service voluntary organization set up to study the social service and other needs of the community, working to bring services closer to home. Various community programs offered include information and referral, meals on wheels, care-a-van and security reassurance. Housing information services available via HIS Registry.

The Association has purchased 16 supportive housing units for large Aboriginal families. The intent is to provide long-term housing, creating a stable environment. Support services include regular visits and supports by Amisk, as well as links to other community services (drug and alcohol treatment, education or physical or mental abuse counselling), and visits from referring case workers if required.
